What is ASPS?

ASPS is a nonprofit association founded in 1979 in Rome, with the solely intent of discovering new forms of propulsion really alternate to rocketry. Conventional astronautics, after almost 50 years from historic Moon landing, hasn't been capable yet to set a permanent outpost on our Moon.
ASPS, which in Italian means "Association for Space Propulsion Development", in 1992 invented an electromagnetic propellantless thruster called PNN that can revolutionize space exploration. After more than 20 years of experimentation, the engine is close to its practical application.

If you're interested in discovering more, please have a look at this blog or at ASPS's official site.

Another billionaire, another outworld colony

After the visionary Elon Musk, the man who wants to build a colony on Mars, it is the turn of another billionaire to expand his business among the stars: Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon and the richest man in the world, during a speech at the International Space Development Conference said he wants to […]

Saharan propulsion – ASPS Mass driver

Dear readers, while we wait for the unveiling of ASPS Little Cart I’d like to share with you the translation of this Laureti’s article about an electromagnetic launch system called Saharan propulsion that could help mankind not only to abandon rocketry once and for all but also and especially to reach Moon and Mars (and […]

Some thoughts about the Falcon Heavy maiden flight

Dear readers, as you will certainly know, the inaugural flight of the Falcon Heavy ended yesterday with some success. The rocket built by Elon Musk’s SpaceX company has transported its payload beyond Earth orbit and launched it toward Mars. The payload, not a symbol for mankind but rather a commercial for Musk’s companies, was […]

To Mars and back- hypothesis for a PNN spacecraft

Dear readers, This new year starts with interesting news. The work on the PNN spaceship is proceeding at slow pace on request of Laureti himself because he has some personal commitments to attend to, however if everything goes well the construction has been postponed to next February so the waiting is not too long. Meanwhile […]

Merry Christmas and happy new year

Dear readers, I’d like to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year, with the hope that 2018 will be a year full of good news for PNN.   Sergio

More experimental evidences for PNN inertia

Dear readers, Laureti recently shared on ASPS webpage some details about F432 experimental setup and the incredible physics behind electromagnetic propulsion. He is now quite confident, after numerous experiments, that Newtonian mechanics can’t be applied to PNN thrust. This could mean (while we keep our feet on the ground waiting for resolutive in-space tests) that […]

The future is now, straight from 1950s

Since the beginning of the space age the rocket has entered the collective imagination as the space transport vehicle par excellence and countless are the examples in science fiction between 1940s and 1970s. If one had asked people from that period how they imagined the year 2017 they would have probably depicted a world where […]
