What is ASPS?

ASPS is a nonprofit association founded in 1979 in Rome, with the solely intent of discovering new forms of propulsion really alternate to rocketry. Conventional astronautics, after almost 50 years from historic Moon landing, hasn't been capable yet to set a permanent outpost on our Moon.
ASPS, which in Italian means "Association for Space Propulsion Development", in 1992 invented an electromagnetic propellantless thruster called PNN that can revolutionize space exploration. After more than 20 years of experimentation, the engine is close to its practical application.

If you're interested in discovering more, please have a look at this blog or at ASPS's official site.

Astronomers discover the nearest exoplanet

Very interesting astronomical news: on August 25th the scientific magazine Nature reported that a rocky planet, with a mass similar to our Earth, has been observed orbiting around our cosmic neighbor, the ternary system of Alpha Centauri. This star system is composed of the stars Alpha Centauri a and b, very close to each other, plus a third small companion called Proxima Centauri […]
